Washington D.C.

This past weekend I headed up to Washington D.C. for my first time to visit Georgetown Law. Although the open house was informative and fun (other than the insanely smart people who intimidated me and the confusion I now feel about where to go to school), it did mean I didn’t get to explore the city as much as I want to. The neighborhoods and adorable streets I drove down were calling me name and I was tempted to play hooky and just wander–being a grown up is hard.

Thursday and Friday were pretty much spent roaming the Georgetown campus, but after a tour and lecture at the Supreme Court on Friday, I made sure to make the best of my last few hours there. The friends I stayed with took me out for a delicious dinner, and on Saturday, we did a highlights of DC tour in the two hours we had before my flight left. We’re nothing if not efficient.

It was an excellent mini vacation–I can’t wait to go back for a proper DC adventure.
